Author Biography

Sébastien Blandin was born in Champagnole, Jura, in 1971. After studying at the Beaux Arts of Besançon and specialising in painting, he creates with help from La Fabrique two short films: «Manip» and «Duel» and enters the European school La Poudrière to train to become an animated film maker. He creates « Les Ogres » and works as colourist in the film «La prophétie des grenouilles» by Jacques Rémi Girerd, and will later work as a collaborator in animation with «Alors Tonton?»

A few years later, Sébastien decides to return to his first loves : painting and children’s illustrated books.

«Little Seb and White Bear», translated from French « P’tit Seb et Blanc Nours », is inspired by « L’Ours Blanc», a short film in direct animation which he had created and produced in 2001.
